OUR FACILITIES
In term 4 of 2016 our school proudly moved into new buildings. These contemporary, award winning architect designed facilities incorporate sound educational design and the ideas of our whole school community. Students love the connection with nature and each learning centre has access to an undercover area for outside learning. There are indoor toilets and bubblers, wet areas and fabulous acoustics. A variety of new furnishings are in use in our three new learning centres as well as Learning Centre 4 (which opened in 2011) where our year 5/6 classes are working.
As part of the rebuild our gymnasium was repainted and now has toilets and bubblers. A double portable was developed as part of our Performing and Visual Arts Precinct and landscaping in this area is soon to include an innovative Maths Concept Garden.
The new Administration and Reception area is adjacent to our Early Learning Centre which offers three and four year old kinder sessions. This Centre is totally operated by Wodonga West Primary School as we value strong and seamless transitions from kinder to school. Our Allied Health space offers Maternal and Child Health and other family and child services. Wodonga Toy Library also operates from our site and is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays to the wider community.
We also have a large Resource Centre which houses books and other IT resources important to 21st century learning. All our facilities are set amongst beautifully landscaped and extensive grounds where children can pursue both active and passive activities. There are also extensive sun protection areas and student art work is featured throughout our buildings and grounds.
